Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25136 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The new update brings in File Explorer and navigation improvements including an update for Widgets, which will display dynamic content on the Taskbar. The build also includes several bug fixes and improvements. Microsoft also rolled out updates to Notepad and Media Player.
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25136 has introduced improvements to File Explorer tabs and navigation updates. The title bar of the File Explorer has been updated with tabs to enable you to work across multiple locations simultaneously. The Windows 11 File Explorer has introduced a new layout of the left navigation pane, which enables users to easily navigate to the relevant folders.
You can easily access pinned and quick access folders including OneDrive cloud profiles added to Windows. The OneDrive cloud reflects the name of the concerned user associated with the account. The known Windows folders that are available by default in the navigation pane are no longer displayed under This PC to enable that view focused for the PCs’ drives. The address bar displays the correct path to help bring clarity when your folders are on the cloud when you navigate to folders that sync to OneDrive such as documents, pictures, and much more.
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25136 update brings in dynamic Widgets content to your Taskbar. You will view live updates from the sports, breaking news, and finance widgets in addition to that Weather widget. The content will be displayed in such a way that you will be able to view additional detailed information if you click on the Widgets icon.
The Taskbar automatically displays Weather-related information if you are not interacting with the content for a specific point of time. If the animated GIFs are inappropriate, then Windows Insiders can report it directly from the emoji panel. The update has resolved an issue that was leading to PCs being erroneously detected as tablets.
The issue related to SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION bugcheck in recent Dev Channel builds has been resolved. The update also resolved an issue that causes Taskbar apps to overflow with the system tray icons. The notification will no longer flash when you hover over an app in the system tray.
