Microsoft Announces Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25140 With Bug Fixes and Improvements

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25140 to the Dev Channel Windows Insiders. The build comes with several bug fixes and improvements based on the feedback provided via Feedback Hub by Windows Insiders and the general public. The Euphemia typeface covers languages that make use of the Canadian Syllabic script including various Cree orthographies, Inuktitut, and the Carrier/Dakelh script (dulkw’ahke). The font has been updated to improve the legibility and screen rendering of over 200 characters at various sizes. The build also added new glyphs to support Unicode 14 characters for the Nattilik language of the Canadian arctic.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25140 includes bug fixes for File Explorer. The issue pertaining to error 0x80070026 when copying files from network drives have been resolved. The problem related to active tab color didn’t match the command bar below it has been resolved.

If the rearrange tabs didn’t worked while dragging, then that has been resolved. Microsoft also resolved an issue that could cause artifacts in the windows thumbnail preview in the taskbar if File Explorer was maximized and you used WIN+M keyboard shortcut to minimize.

The current active drive name will be prepopulated in the dialog if you navigate to rename a drive label in System | Storage | Disks & Volumes. If you had selected English (New Zealand) in OOBE and Arabic (101) keyboard returned, then the issue has been resolved. The language bar hotkeys with specific non-IME input method problems have been resolved.

If you attempted to install the languages using the new Install-Language CopyToSettings command, some settings such as new user account locale, Input (keyboard), and UPLL (User Preferred Language List) were not getting updated and have been fixed. The issue related to Batang, BatangChe Gungsuh, and GungsuhChe fonts rendering has been resolved.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25140 has resolved a Taskbar crash that could happen when switching modes in pages other than the Processes page. The update also made a small adjustment to the intensity of the colors used in the heatmap on the Processes page.

The update also fixed an issue where calls to CopyAcceleratorTable and CreateAcceleratorTable would fail if the LPACCEL parameter was the address of an odd-numbered index into an array of ACCEL structs. The issue pertaining to x64 emulation on ARM64 with error code 0xc0000409 has been resolved. If the audio stops playing in certain apps after a minute, then it has been resolved.
