BSNL Announces Rs 19 Recharge Plan For Budget Customers

BSNL has announced the launch of Rs. 19 monthly prepaid recharge plan with an overall validity of 30 days. The new recharge plan will be suitable for those subscribers who would like to keep their mobile numbers active. Moreover, the new Rs 19 recharge plan will be optimum for those subscribers who don’t require data. BSNL has named the new plan – VoiceRateCutter_19, which slashes the cost of on-net and off-net calls to 20 paise per minute. The purpose of the new plan is to keep the SIM card active to enable users continue to receive calls and other services if the customer need not require any data plans. You can opt for this plan if you don’t have a minimum balance.

You should note that competing mobile service providers like Jio, Airtel, and Vi are offering identical plans ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 120. If you look at Jio,. they offer low budget plan with 24 days validity, which is significantly less. The latest offering by BSNL is a big boon for customers and those customers who migrated from BNL should feel ashamed.

You should note that the offerings by Jio and Airtel are powered by 4G and you can navigate the web quickly. BSNL only provides 3G connectivity, which still lags. There are unconfirmed reports that BSNL is tipped to launch the 4G network on August 15 which will be communicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address.

You only need to shell out Rs 228 per year if you opt for Rs 19 plan for one year. However, the rate will reduce because of the GST. If you recharge at Rs 19, the effective talk time price will be Rs 14. If you have a spare feature phone, then you can opt for this plan.
