The problem happened after the app was updated, which lead to a risk and warning message from Google Play Store.
The product team quickly investigated and resolved the issues in 4 hours. The company has advised users to update the app to the latest version because 1% of the app users still work with the previous version. We still don’t have exact information as to what caused Google to trigger the alert. In most cases, the Sundar Pichai-led company will not reveal the exact reason for the warning. You should check Google Play Store for any warning signs before proceeding to install the app.
The company added that they are fully committed to protect user’s data and privacy. The app hasn’t compromised data and privacy of users. However, the team accepted the fact that this is an isolated case of a technical glitch caused by insufficient information relayed with the app update on Slice UPI, and has been resolved instantly. The company assured that these kind of issues will never happen again and required precautions have been already put in place. The company pays top importance to user experience and provides a simple, satisfying, and safe payment experience. The company has apologized for the bug.
