Snipping Tool For Windows 11 Gets Better With Screen Recording

Microsoft has rolled out an integrated screen recorder to the Snipping Tool app version 11.2211.35.0 for Windows 11 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The update is currently being pushed in a phased manner and hence it will take few days for all the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel to work with the features. According to Microsoft, Snipping Tool is one of the most favorite features among Windows 11 users and they are excited to introduce a screen recorder.

With the help of the Snipping Tool, users can easily snap screenshots and share them across social media. The recent addition of screen recording functionality will enable users to create rich videos right from your desktop without using any third-party tool. You can create additional content via the screen recording feature.

To start the screen recording process, you should open the Snipping Tool app and select the “Record” option. You should then select and refine the portion of your screen that you would like to record.

You can select the area that needs recording and the Snipping Tool effectively captures videos of that particular portion. You can also preview the recording before saving or sharing the content with others.

Microsoft has revealed that there will be potential delay upon clicking the Start button but will be resolved in the upcoming preview builds. You will also notice an issue when the Snipping Tool app window does not restore while initiating a new snap from within the app.
