Microsoft Announces Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 to Dev Channel Windows Insiders

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 to the Dev Channel after a long gap. The product team has returned from holidays and the Redmond-based software giant has released two preview build updates for Dev and Beta channels. The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 has added several improvements and bug fixes. The update has moved Quick Assist out of Windows Tools to enable them to display directly in the Start menu’s All apps list. Microsoft has removed the suggested action to search copied content in Microsoft Edge. The system will also display Recommended websites in the recommended section in Start menu.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 has added enhancements to Windows Subsystem for Linux aka WSL. You will notice that WSL will continue to work on subsequent build updates automatically. The build has added a refresh button to the Windows print queue. Microsoft has resolved an issue where ARM64 devices experienced a black screen while resuming from sleep or hibernate. Moreover, the latest build has fixed an issue that caused several UI elements in apps to disappear and reappear.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 has resolved the issue that causes the search box on Taskbar not rendering properly and display visual artifacts. The Japanese IME candidate items display correctly inside the Taskbar search box. The update fixed an issue that caused publisher name filtering not to match properly on the Proceses page. If few services are not displaying in the Services page after filtering, then the problem has been resolved. The update resolved an issue that causes filtered list to appear in new processes.

If the Task Manager did not correctly display light and dark mode, then the issue has been resolved. The build also resolved an issue that caused the Startup apps page in Task Manager to not list any apps. If the Task Manager crashed while attempting to end certain processes, then the problem has been fixed in the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272. The CTRL+F keyboard shortcut can be used to set the search box focus.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 has resolved an issue that caused Settings to crash after activating Narrator in Lithuanian and Hungarian builds. The Narrator app has been refreshed to work correctly with Windows Defender Application Guard for Microsoft Edge. The Live Captions issue has also been resolved in the latest Windows Insider Preview Build.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25272 includes bug fixes related to Input, Settings, Windowing, and other related issues. Microsoft also revealed that there are known issues related to Taskbar, System Tray, Taskbar Search, Task Manager, and Widgets.
