Microsoft Bing AI Takes Search to the Next Level with GPT-4 Integration

OpenAI announced the launch of GPT-4 technology but Microsoft has been running the new platform on its new Bing AI since the past five weeks. According to reports, Microsoft has secretly integrated GPT-4 into the AI-enabled Bing search engine and users have been working with it without knowing. The news came to light after the official launch of GPT-4 by OpenAI on March 14.

Jordi Ribas, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft took to Twitter and revealed that they have increased the turn limits to 15/150. Moreover, the next-generation model – Prometheus, which is used in Bing is indeed OpenAI’s GPT-4. He tweeted just after the official launch of GPT-4 by OpenAI.

Additionally, Yusuf Mehdi who works as Consumer Marketing head at Microsoft also blogged that the new Bing is running on GPT-4 exclusively customized for search. He added that if you had worked with the Bing preview in the last five weeks, then you were working on the new GPT-4 platform.

Mehdi added that they will continue to add improvement as OpenAI makes continuous updates to GPT-4 and beyond. You will be able to work with comprehensive copilot features with the integration of GPT-4. You can sign up for the new Bing preview if you would like to experience GPT-4 technology.

Microsoft Bing AI chatbot provides summarized answers to search queries with source links. You can fetch answers in three modes. Microsoft has thrown open Bing Ai to all waitlisted users.

Microsoft claimed that ing AI got 100M hits and they are expected to take over Google. Moreover, Bing AI has been integrated directly into Windows 11 search. Microsoft had revealed that the Bing AI is being powered by Prometheus model but we were not aware that the system leveraged the rich benefits of GPT-4.

Interestingly, Google also found limelight with the company revealing AI features to Gmail & Docs in addition to the launch of PaLM language model. The search engine giant is also expected to unveil Google Bard AI during the upcoming Google IO conference. Quora also released its own Poe AI with four AI models. It remains to be seen whether the company will integrate GPT-4 into Poe AI.
