Microsoft Pushes Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25330 For Canary Channel With Cool Features

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25330 to the Canary Channel. The Redmond-based software giant revealed that this build will not be offered to Windows Insiders with Arm64 devices. You should note that the Canary channel builds are hot off the presses and offer limited documentation. Microsoft will publish blog post related to the release only when there are new features. Microsoft has warned that Canary Channel builds will be unstable. If you would like to move to Dev Channel, you should uninstall the active Windows 11 installation. Let’s examine the changes and improvements that are added to Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25330.

Snipping Tool Enhancement

If you press the print screen key, the relevant image will open inside Snipping Tool by default. However, you can disable this feature by navigating to Settings | Accessibility | Keyboard. The flight has updated the settings page for wheel devices such as the Surface Dial to match with the Windows 11 design principles. The Windows Sandbox will follow the primary mouse button settings located under Settings | Bluetooth & devices | Mouse.

Remote Desktop Connectivity Improvements

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25330 has updated the Remote Desktop Connection setup window in such a way that it follows the text scaling settings. This can be located under Settings | Accessibility | Text Size. The remote desktop will display a scrollbar if the text scaling is very large. You can minimize the encryption progress dialog during drive encryption via BitLocker. After the installation of the latest build, you will be able to uninstall the Camera app depending upon the requirements.

Microsoft Store new features

Microsoft also made significant improvements related to Microsoft Store. You will be able to install free apps and games from search results. If you hover over a free app on the search results page, you will be able to view a new expanded card experience. You will be able to locate a convenient install button. The installation will be triggered without having to navigate to the product page.

Microsoft Store has been revamped with new and redesigned user experiences when purchasing apps and games. The purchase dialog’s styles align better with Windows 11 to provide an intuitive checkout experience. The latest flight has updated the in-app rating experience to be fast and more reliable. It should also better align with Windows 11 styling. These Microsoft Store features will be available only for Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels running Microsoft Store version 22303.1401.x or higher.

The Windows Insider Canary BUilds are tagged as hot off the presses and hence the builds will have limited documentation. Microsoft will not publish a detailed blog post for each Canary Channel flight unless there are new features. There will be no daily builds but Microsoft is working to provide more frequent builds.
