This is not an April Fool’s Joke. Twitter has announced that the legacy verified accounts will lose the Blue check mark on April 1. The latest development is that Koo, India’s own microblogging platform has announced free lifetime verification for all qualified personalities.

It’s April 1 here in India and we have to wait and watch as to when Twitter will remove the legacy Blue check mark. The company provides free lifetime verification for all notable personalities to protect against impersonators.

  • If you currently have a Twitter Blue verified badge that you received for free, you should pay either on monthly basis or yearly mode.
  • If you fail to pay then you will lose the Blue tick mark.
  • The cost for Twitter Blue in India is INR 6800 per year.
