Google Pixel Fold has been finally launched at the Google I/O 2023 event. The Pixel Fold is the first foldable smartphone from the smartphone giant. The device is equipped with a 7.6-inch foldable screen and a small 5.8-inch outer screen powered by a Google Tensor G2 processor. The display is made up of an OLED panel with an amazing 120Hz refresh rate. The stainless steel hinge can withstand rear and tear such as scratches. Moreover, the Pixel Fold is resistant to water via an IPX8 rating.
You can make use of the Taskbar to switch between apps. You can also drag a compatible app into split-screen mode, which enables you to multitask effectively. The Pixel Fold is designed to simplify multitasking abilities. The tabletop mode is useful for apps such as YouTube. The top portion plays the video seamlessly. Google will soon push an update to include playback controls on the bottom half.
On the optics, the Google Pixel Fold is embedded with a 48MP primary camera with OIS support. This camera sensor also serves as a selfie camera. The device also includes a 10.8MP ultra-wide camera and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom technology. The device also includes Real Tone, Nught Sight, and Portrait Photography including pro-level modes. The device also includes Dual Screen Interpreter mode using which you can make use of the inner and outer screens simultaneously to translate live conversations.

While the 256GB model is priced at $1799 (INR 147,410), the 512GB variant costs $1919 which equates to INR 157,240. The device is available in Porcelain and Obsidian color options. The device is up for pre-order in the US. As part of the launch offer, Google is throwing away Pixel Watch along with all pre-orders. Google announced that the Pixel FOld will be available in Germany, Japan, and United Kingdom. We don’t have any information as to when the smartphone will be available in India.
