Microsoft has announced the launch of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25365 to the Canary Channel. The release of this new build is the second for this week starting May 22. Microsoft has so far released one build to the Canary Channel either once a week or within 15 days. The new flight has added support for Microsoft Endpoint DLP on Windows on Arm builds. After the installation of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25365, you will be able to extend Microsoft Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and actions to endpoints running Windows on ARM.
This will enable users to detect and protect sensitive data in files. Moreover, users will be able to introduce policy controls for scenarios. This includes working with a Windows endpoint powered by ARM chipset from accessing sensitive files.
This also includes USB copying, Clipboard copying, Notepad, and much more. You will be able to leverage the current conditions and actions as part of your DLP policy definition. The flight ensures that ARM64 endpoints are onboarded to Microsoft Endpoint DLP with the help of supported onboarding methods.
The builds that are released to the Canary Channel are hot off the presses. The company will provide documentation only if there are new features. The Canary Channel is the place to test drive new platform changes that require longer-lead time before being made available to general customers. This includes major changes to the Windows Kernel, new APIs, and much more. There is no assurance that some of the new features in the Canary Channel will never ship. Microsoft has warned about possible issues after the installation of the Canary Channel and this could include complete reinstallation of Windows in certain scenarios.
