The much-anticipated Chandrayaan-3 mission is now accomplished. ISRO has successfully placed the Vikram Lander on the Lunar South Pole. The Prragyan Rover was rolled out after four hours. According to the Government-controlled space agency, all activities are on schedule and systems are working perfectly normal. ISRO took to X (formerly Twitter) and revealed the current status of Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover.

The GSLV manufacturer also uploaded a video, which shows the Pragyan Lander rolling out from the Vikram Lander. The rover then creates an impression of Akhok Chakra and ISRO logo permanently on the Moon.

ISRO revealed that lander module payloads ILSA, RAMBHA, and ChaSTE are activated today. Moreover, the space agency added that the Rover mobility operations have commenced. ISRO also disclosed that SHAPE payload on the Propulsion Module was activated on Sunday.
ISRO also shared the Moon’s image as captured by the Lander Imager Camera during powered descent. The agency revealed that these images were generated prior to touchdown. The video runs over 2 minutes and shows only one side. We can see several craters while the Vikram Lander was undergoing descent operations.
ISRO also shared on X that the Chandrayaan-3 Rover is completely made in India for the Moon. The rover has ramped down from the lander and the country took a walk on the Moon.
