Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25936 with New Features

Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25936 to the Canary Channel. The Redmond-based tech giant has introduced several new experiences for after completing Out Of Box Experience aka OOBE. You will view one of these three experiences being automatically launched on your device after completing OOBE.

The Dev Home will automatically launch on your device after logging in upon choosing Let’s Customize Your Experience | Development Intent. Moreover, the Get Started app will also launch automatically on your device after logging in. The app will display a personalized flow, which enables you to learn about Dev Home.

The app will also launch automatically on your device after your login into your device for the second time after finishing OOBE upon choosing Restore option during OOBE. The Get Started app will display a personalized flow, which will enable you to learn about key apps and settings. It will inform you that Windows has restored in your device. Moreover, the app will display the steps required to access the restored apps on Start menu or Taskbar.

Microsoft disclosed that these new experiences will enable users to learn about new features in Windows 11. However, these experiences will be made available only to a small subset of Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel. You will also view variations of these experiences. The product team has urged people to provide feedback.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25936 has added the ability to choose a custom color to light up your devices. The Task Manager settings page has been updated to match the design principles of Windows 11. The UI design will look identical to that of the Settings in Windows 11.

The categories are separated into different sections, which you will find after the installation of the update. The End Task functionality under System | For developers need not require enablement of the Developer Mode. The flight also resolved the underlying crash that caused .NET updates to get struck. The system will request restart in Windows Update Settings in recent Canary Channel builds. The update also resolved issues that causes the End Task option in the Taskbar to not work.

Microsoft has updated the expiration date for Windows 11 Insider Preview Builds that were flighted to the Canary Channel to September 15. You should regularly update to the latest Canary Channel builds. Moreover, the builds released to the Canary Channel are hot off the presses. Microsoft will provide documentation only if there any credible features and impactful known issues.
