Microsoft made several new announcements including new releases during the September 21 launch event. The core part of the event was centered around Microsoft Surface and AI. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella along with other top executives appeared during an online event streamed via YouTube.
Surface Laptop Studio 2
Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 is powered by an Intel 12th Gen i7 H class processor, NVidia RTX 4050 graphics, and 64GB RAM. The device also features an inclusive and adaptive touchpad. Starting from $1999, you will be able to pre-order starting today. Microsoft revealed that the product will ship on October 3.
Surface Laptop Go 3
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 3 flaunts a 12.4-inch touch display alongside a fingerprint power button. According to Microsoft, the new device is 88% faster with up to 15 hours of battery life. The Surface Laptop Go 3 features One USB-A port, One USB-C port, and a headphone port. The device will be available starting at $799 from October 3.
Surface Laptop Go 4
Microsoft silently launched the Surface Laptop Go 4 after the September 21 launch event. However, the device will be available only for businesses. The Surface Laptop Go 4 includes an upgraded four-core Intel N200 chipset instead of a two-core Intel Pentium processor. You should note that both Surface Go 4 will be available starting at $579 from October 3.
Windows 11 Improvements
Microsoft has announced that the next big Windows 11 update will be available from September 26. The main feature of the upcoming Windows 11 update is the integration of AI-enabled Windows Copilot. The company has already rolled out Windows Copilot to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. Microsoft will also push a redesigned File Explorer, new Windows Volume Mixer, and Dynamic Lighting setting including native support for RAR and 7-ZIP.
The main aim of the Windows Copilot is to provide a unified user experience. The module will be available across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Edge. Windows Copilot is designed to integrate content from the web, your work data, and other for enhanced assistance and experience.
Bing Chat Updates
Microsoft has announced the integration of DALL-E 3 to Bing Chat. The new technology is the latest version of OpenAI’s text-to-image generator. Microsoft has upgraded AI chatbot with support for personalized answers.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 will soon be upgraded with Windows Copilot support and is expected to roll out on November 1. You can make use of the Copilot to produce documents, generate emails, rewrite documents, and much more. This feature will be available to subscribers on business and enterprise plans for an additional $30 per month.
