Working with MyRecover

To work with MyRecover free data recovery tool, you should open the app by double-clicking on the Windows 11 desktop. Alternatively, you can also open the app via Start | All apps. You will view a dashboard as shown below.

As you can see, we had plugged in a USB drive to work with MyRecover Pro. The disk contains four media files, which we will delete for testing purposes. We deleted the files from the USB Drive.

The next step is to open MyRecover app and then select the USB Drive name, which is G. You should note that the drive name changes depending upon the nature of the USB drive. You should click on the drive name and select Start Scan button. The app will scan the USB drive for all possible deletions and will try to recover the files that have been deleted either accidentally or by damage.

The MyRecover dashboard after the completion of the scanning process looks as shown below.

To recover the deleted files, you should select the Deleted Files folder and select the Recover button. You will be able to view the total number of files and required disk space required for recovery. You should also double-click the folder and select the relevant files that are needed to be recovered.

If you select the Back option on the top left side, You will view a message box as shown below.

If you select the Back button, the MyRecover app dashboard will be displayed. You have to again initiate the scanning process. Hence, you should make use of the navigation panel on the left side of the scanned page dashboard to sneak into the files.

We observed that MyRecover automatically recovered all the previous files that were probably present inside the USB drive. We don’t know when we deleted them but the app fetched all the files right from the 2006 time period. We recovered few old PDF files but we could not open them. The system showed that PDF file was corrupted.

Conclusion

MyRecover is an excellent lightweight tool using which you can easily recover deleted files from any source. This could be your PC, CD, DVD, USB Drive, or any source. The app scans deep into the relevant source and then provides a list of files that you can recover. You can easily recover the files by selecting the relevant destination folder. MyRecover warns you if you attempt to restore on the same source. You should select a new destination for saving the recovered files. You can even view the file names before recovering the files. The app enables you to either restore the whole recovery files or individual files. We are satisfied with the working of MyRecover because the app loads and works fast when compared with competing products. Moreover, the user interface looks simple without any complicated options. You just need to scan and start the recovery process. We highly recommend MyRecover if you are on the lookout for a stable and affordable data recovery solution for your personal or business purposes.
