Microsoft has announced the launch of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25987 to the Canary Channel. The flight provides an option to press an Install Drivers button to install drivers during OOBE setup. You can observe the change with the help of the ISO for Build 25977, which is currently available. Microsoft has provided the ISO download link on the Build 25987 announcement page.
After the installation of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25987, the Windows Maps and Movies & TV will no longer be installed. This will happen after the clean installation of the operating platform. The Windows Maps including Movies and TV apps will not be removed on upgrade for Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel. You can continue to update the apps via the Microsoft Store. The settings page for Delivery Optimization has been designed to match the Windows 11 design principles. You have to navigate to Settings | Windows Update | Advanced options | Delivery Optimization to experience the new feature.
You will be able to view and edit metadata for PNG files after the installation of the update. You can star rate in Properties including the ability to edit the description and keywords. The update resolved an issue related to File Explorer crashing in Windows Sandbox, while working with a non-English display language. You should note that popular games will not work correctly on the most recent Windows Insider preview builds in the Canary Channel. Microsoft is investigating reports about rebooting into safe mode that hangs on the boot logo.
You will view improvements if Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels running version 22310.xxxx.x of the Microsoft Store and higher. You will be able to specify the installation drive while downloading games such as Starfield, Halo Infinite or Forza Motorsport. You can specify the folder location of your games on the settings page. You should note that these settings are synchronized with the Xbox app on PC for an immersive gaming experience.
The builds released to the Canary Channel are hot off the presses. The company will provide documentation only if there are any significant features, changes, and impactful known issues.
