Windows 11 Gets Better With Real-Time Android Photo Access

Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23619 to the Dev Channel Insiders with real-time Android photo access. You will be able to access and edit the most recent photos and screenshots from your Android smartphone via the Snipping Tool. The real-time Android photo access feature throws instant notifications on your PC whenever a new photo or screenshot is captured on your Android device.

To work with real-time Android photo access feature, you should navigate to Settings | Bluetooth & devices | Mobile devices and select Manage devices option. You should then allow your PC to access your Android device. The final step is to install a Cross Device Experience Host Update in the Microsoft Store, which is required for this functionality to work properly.

The new experience has replaced the remote capture with Phone Link experience. This update will also be made available to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel by the end of this week. However, it will take time for your device to receive this new feature because of the nature of the rollout.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23619 provides a facility for you to view and join upcoming Microsoft Teams meetings directly from the Start menu. However, this feature will be available only for people logged into Windows 11 Pro or Enterprise editions with a Microsoft Entra ID account. The Teams meeting will display as a Recommended item 5 minutes before the start. If you select the meeting recommendation, the system will open the join meeting flow in Teams.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23619 has improved the launch performance of File Explorer. The issue related to Task Manager window search box mouse hover has been fixed. If you experienced crash while adding natural voices for Narrator in settings, then that has been resolved. You will be required to make use of Show grid commands to select the Ask me anything box for the first time while launching or refreshing Copilot in Windows via voice access.
