Windows 11 Gets Better With Wi-Fi 7 and Improved Copilot

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26063 to the Canary Channel. If you are part of the Dev Channel, then you will not receive the build. This flight has added support for Wi-Fi 7 technology based on the announcement by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Wi-Fi 7 also called IEEE 802.11be Extremely High Throughtput (EHT) provides excellent speed, reliability, and efficiency for your Wireless devices.

Wi-Fi 7 Support

It’s to be noted that the next-generation Wi-Fi 7 has been designed based on the innovations of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E. This will provide enhanced user experiences via improved throughput, latency, efficiency, power, and reliability.

The Multi-Link operation included with Wi-Fi 7 enables devices to make use of multiple bands simultaneously. This will eliminate network congestion and maintain stable connectivity. The advanced 320MHz ultra-wide bandwidth in 6GHz automatically doubles the speed of your devices.

This technology also facilitates smooth working of high-bandwidth apps via AR and VR. The 4096-QAM modulation increases the overall data transmission by 20% and enhances the quality of video streaming and video conferencing.

With the help of Wi-Fi 7, you will be able to enjoy multi-gigabit speeds and up to 4x speeds when compared with Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E technologies. The Wi-Fi 7 delivers lower latency for improved gaming and video conferencing. However, the ultimate performance will vary depending upon the manufacturer and device. You need Wi-Fi 7-enabled consumer access point and PC. You should note that several partners have already released devices with Wi-Fi 7 technology.
