Microsoft has started to roll out August 2024 update for the Microsoft Store to Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels. The update will be made available for Windows 11 devices running Microsoft Store version 22407.xxxx.x and higher.
The Microsoft Store August 2024 update has introduced changes to the library page. The default filters have been improved to display all the products you own and are not limited to products that are installed. A new search bar has been added to enable you to locate the name or the publisher of products that you are looking for.
The list of updates and downloads has been moved from the top section of the library to its own dedicated page. You can view the list of active downloads, pending updates including a list of recent installations. The system will also display version notes for a pending update or active download. Microsoft has requested Microsoft store developers to update the What’s new section of your app with the relevant information. The version notes will be visible for your customers.
Microsoft Store August 2024 update has added a new section on the Games page in select regions. This will showcase select partners with in-app events. Microsoft has established partnerships with game publishers to highlight real events that happened during the test period. The Microsoft store badge design has been changed with a refined call-to-action module. Your users will be empowered and confident to acquire your app. You can visualize the changes on the badge creator page including any website that make use of the Microsoft store badge.
Microsoft Store August 2024 update has started to roll out in a phased manner to Windows Insiders in the canary and dev Channels. If you are unable to view the changes, you should wait for some time until Microsoft tools out the update.
