Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27754 to the Canary Channel. Microsoft hasn’t released SDKs for 27xxx series builds. The latest flight provides a modernized and a revamped Windows Hello user experience. The new design aligns with the contemporary Windows visual design standards. The purpose is to make authentication process intuitive and seamless. The updated Windows Hello visuals are designed to enhance communication.
This will also appear on the Windows Sign-in screen including authentication flows such as passkey, Microsoft Store and more. The Windows security credential user experiences for passkey has been redesigned to rate a cleaner experience with support for secured and quick authentication. You can now swap between authentication options and select passkey/devices. This feature will also be applicable to the new administrator protection feature on Windows 11 version 24H2 or higher. If you are a Windows Insider in the Canary Channel, then you can test drive this feature immediately.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27754 Bug Fixes
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27754 has made updates to the Shift and CTRL key. If you press the key when clicking on a jump list item in Start menu or taskbar, you will view that the item is launched as admin. The previews has been updated to display when you hover over apps on the Windows 11 Taskbar. The animations have been improved when these previews display on the Taskbar. The flight has started to roll out a simplified system tray to highlight the date/time in a shortened form and also to display the notifications bell icon based on DND status.
After the installation of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27754, you can revert to the long form of the date/time and bell icon by toggling the values in the Settings. You have to navigate to Settings > System > Notifications. You can also access the context menu by right clicking the system tray clock/bell icon button.
The policy application associated with the Digital Markets Act in EEA regions has been fixed. The flight has resolved an issue pertaining to a duplicate Windows entry in the boot menu. If the RAW images captured in portrait mode displays in the landscape mode thumbnails, then the problem has been solved. The issue associated with the secondary monitors for left aligned Taskbar users have been resolved.
If the mouse unlock from a game window on a system with multiple monitors after opening and closing Game Bar, the issue has been identified and resolved. If you are a Windows Insider in the Canary Channel, you will not view the SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED error again. The update also resolved an issue where sfc /scannow unexpectedly displayed errors during running. The issue pertaining to unresponsive Registry Editor has also been resolved.
