Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27842 To Canary Channel

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27842 to the Canary Channel. If you are unable to view the improved battery iconography in Windows 11 after the installation of the current flights, then the issue has been resolved.

Microsoft has introduced a streamlined UI for unexpected restarts, which aligns with Windows 11 design principles. Moreover, the UI will enhance productivity of users. The experience has been simplified by preserving the technical information on the display. The UI will appear as a green screen for Windows Insiders. This change is currently rolling out to Windows Insiders on Windows 11 version 24H2 in the Canary, Dev and Beta channels.

The Windows Security app has been updated to display manufacturer and version for Pluton TPM chipsets if your device supports them. You can locate them under Device security > Security processor details. The flight has added additional mouse related settings that can be located by navigating to Settings > Accessibility > Mouse and Settings > Accessibility > Mouse pointer and touch.

There is no need to open Control Panel to work with these settings. This module includes settings for mouse indicator, mouse pointer trails, mouse behavior and pointer customization. The time required to hover over a window has been modified. The icon used or Mouse Pointer speed in Bluetooth & Devices > Mouse have been updated. The update also added an icon to Enhance mouse pointer precision option.

The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27842 removed Visual Studio Graphics Analyzer’s shader debugging feature support. Microsoft recommends customers to make use of alternative graphics debuggers such as PIX for D3D12 or RenderDoc.
