Microsoft has announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085 to the Canary and Dev Channels respectively. Microsoft also announced new features will start to roll out to the Canary Channel before the Dev Channel even if the two channels have the same build.
After the installation of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085, you will not be able to work with the new pointer indicator accessibility setting for low vision Windows users that was introduced with Build 26052. This feature will be re-enabled in a future flight after resolving bugs.
Bluetooth Management
You can set up and manage Bluetooth LE Audio capable assistive hearing via Settings | Accessibility | Hearing aids. This new accessibility settings page enables users to check the compatibility of the PC with Bluetooth LE Audio. Moreover, users will be able to pair/manage a set of hearing devices for a streamlined configuration.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085: Shutdown issue resolved
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085 has resolved an issue that caused shutdown and hibernation doesn’t work in the previous flight. If the context menu in FIle Explorer was missing an acrylic background, then the problem has been resolved.
If the icons appear out of place and overlapping text when opening the File Explorer context menu, then the issue has been resolved. The flight has resolved an issue that causes File Explorer to leak GDI objects and heap memory. The flight has resolved a memory leak while interacting with archive folders in File Explorer.
File Explorer Thumbnails Issue resolved
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085 has resolved an issue pertaining to thumbnails in File Explorer. If the command “sudo push” wasn’t working properly for you in recent builds, then the issue has been resolved. The update also resolved a high-hitting Windows Security app crash in the previous flight.
The issue related to the disappearance of mouse cursor has been resolved. If the Settings dashboard freezed sometimes, then the issue has been resolved. If the screen readers have not been reading the list of Bluetooth devices located under Bluetooth & Devices, then the issue has been resolved.
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26085 has resolved an issue that throws error 0x80070002 while trying to install cumulative updates. If you face problems with Update and Shutdown, then the issue has been fixed. The flight has resolved issues associated with CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION, Voice Access crashing, and printer renaming.
Microsoft has added that the Canary and Dev Channels receiving the same builds are only temporary. The Window will be open for Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel to migrate to the Dev Channel when both channels are on the same build. The Canary Channel will automatically jump to higher build numbers and the window will be closed for migration in the future.
You should note that the most popular games should work properly in the recent Windows Insider preview builds. However, there will be minor issues that you should report in Feedback Hub. Microsoft will address them when releasing the upcoming builds.
