Xiaomi has launched Mi Power Bank 2 with a massive 20000mAh battery alongside Quick charge support in White color variant at CNY 149. The newly launched Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 will be available in China from December 19. However, there is no official confirmation about the expected launch date in India.
If you look at the previously launched Xiaomi Mi power bank specifications, it ships with 10000mAh battery. The main highlight of Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 is the integration of Quick Charge 3.0 developed by Qualcomm. Moreover, the power bank provides support for two way fast charging technologies.
Priced at CNY 149, the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 is narrow in shape with a thickness of 23.9 mm. However, Xiaomi has retained the surface bumps to make sure that it provides adequate grip during usage. Interestingly, the first variant also shipped with similar bumping design, which was said to be a huge success.
On the specifications segment, the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 is manufactured using powerful Li-polymer batteries. Moreover, the single port power output is rated as 5V/2.4A – 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A. You should note that the dual port rating is not changed and retained at 5V/3.6A.
During the launch event, Xiaomi announced that the Mi Power Bank 2 has an ability to charge smartphones such as Mi Max within 2.5 hours. The company sources revealed to us that the newly launched power bank provides support for 18W charging including support for low-current discharge.
It remains to be seen as to when Xiaomi will unveil Mi Power Bank 2 in India. We expect the launch will happen before the end of Q1 2017.
