If you think you can’t recover files that are emptied from the Windows Recycle Bin, then you are wrong because it’s easy to recover them with the help of WinfrGUI tool. The WinfrGUI tool invokes Windows File Recovery, which is the Microsoft command-line app to restore deleted files with a Graphical User Interface. You can easily recover deleted files in Windows 10 and Windows 11 with just a few clicks. It’s not a big rocket science because AOMEI has integrated complex algorithms behind a simple UI. Working with WinfrGUI
The WinfrGUI dashboard will be displayed immediately after the completion of the installation process.
The WinfrGUI displays the list of active partitions, which you can scan to recover lost files. You can select the relevant scanning mode such as quick and deep from the drop-down box. You should select a different drive or folder or disk from the “Saved Path” option. If you save to the same drive as the scanned one, then WinfrGUI will display a warning as shown below.
If you select Advanced Settings option, you can choose the target file types such as documents, photos, videos, audios, and compressed files including the ability to provide custom extensions.
To initiate the file recovery process, you should select the relevant drive name and then choose a suitable scan mode. We selected Quick Scan for the purpose of this review. You can even recover files from Google Drive. You just need to select Google Drive and then click “Start Recovery” button. A confirmation message as shown below will be displayed.
You can view the list of recovered files by selecting “View recovered Files” button. You can easily restore the deleted files to your desired location.
Conclusion
WinfrGUI is a simple tool using which you can easily recover deleted files. The tool will not consume heavy system resources and the entire work can be completed using a single dashboard. If you are recovering files from C drive, then the tool should enable users to save the files inside a separate folder on the same drive. This will benefit users with only one hard drive partition.
