Microsoft has announced new Copilot features as part of the first anniversary celebrations of Microsoft Copilot previously known as Bing Chat. The big development is that Copilot will be able to generate responses using GPT-4 Turbo technology. You will be able to handle complex and longer tasks including coding. The new CPT-4 Turbo model is currently using testing among select users and will be integrated with Copilot within the next few days.
Accurate Image Rendering via GPT-4 Turbo
Microsoft Copilot can now generate higher quality accurate images that are compliant with an updated DALL-E 3 model. You can test driver the new capabilities by navigating to bing.com/create. You can also prompt Copilot to create an image based on a relevant prompt.
Microsoft will combine the power of GPT-4 with Bing image search and web search data. The purpose is to deliver better image understanding for your prompts and queries. The company announced that the new capability will be available soon. With the help of search grounding, the exact properties can be easily identified instead of generic results in a traditional multi-modal system.
Improved Coding Capabilities
Going forward, you will be able to perform complex tasks such as accurate calculation, coding, data analysis, visualization, Maths, and much more with the help of Code Interpreter. Microsoft has rolled out this feature among select group of users followed by wider rollout based on the feedback.
Microsoft Copilot has been upgraded to write the code to answer complex and natural-language requests. You can run that code in a sandboxed environment for higher-quality responses. You can also download and upload files to and from Copilot. This will enable you to work with your data and code including Bing search results.
Sandboxed Environment
Microsoft Copilot’s Python environment runs in a secure sandboxed environment that are built on top of Azure Container Apps. The system provides fast and user-isolated environments pre-loaded with popular tools and libraries for data science. This includes pandas, numpy, sklearn, matplotlib, flask, and much more. You can combine Copilot data from Bing search and the web with uploaded data in files. This will enable you to get deep and relevant insights including beautiful and interactive outputs.
Video Summarization & Deep Search
Microsoft Copilot has enhanced the ability to summarize or ask questions about a particular video that are being played in Microsoft Edge. You can ask Copilot to summarize the video content. You will be able to easily rewrite content using Inline Compose with rewrite menu module. This feature will be available soon.
Microsoft also announced Deep Search which leverages the power of GPT-4 technology. This will deliver optimized search results for complex topics. The activation of Deep Search expands search queries into comprehensive descriptions to deliver accurate and relevant results.
