Microsoft has started to roll out Microsoft Photos September 2024 update to Windows Insiders on Windows 11 across all Insider Channels. The Redmond-based software giant also released the update to Windows Insiders on Windows 10 in the Beta and Release Preview Channels. The Microsoft Photos September 2024 update will be available in a phased manner.
After the installation of the Microsoft Photos September 2024 update, you will be able to sync and view iCloud photos on Windows 10. You can access iCloud photos by navigating to the iCloud Photos pivot in the Photos app. You should then install the latest iCloud for Windows app from Microsoft Store, login with your Apple ID and select sync your iCloud photos option. The photos from iCloud will automatically appear in the Photos app.
The navigation panel in the Gallery has been upgraded to enhance usability. You can easily locate local and cloud content via iCloud and OneDrive. You should select OneDrive – Personal, OneDrive – Business or iCloud Photos to view photos that are synced from the respective providers.
You can search images online with the help f the new Visual Search with Bing feature. You should select the Visual Search with Bing icon located at the bottom of the image. The related search results will open in Bing. Microsoft has added an option to run the Photos app with minimal processes in the background.
The purpose is to enhance the app startup speed. You can deactivate the Performance option under Settings if you don’t want the Photos app to run in the background. You can easily edit a photo in File Explorer. You need to right click on the image and select the Edit in Photos option. You can crop, rotate including applying AI-enabled edits to the image via the Photo Editor.
