Microsoft is gearing up to celebrate Christmas on a grand scale with the launch of the nostalgic Windows Ugly Sweaters. The main feature of the Windows Ugly Sweaters is that the shirt features the iconic Windows XP Bliss backdrop. We all worked with Windows XP during the 2000s and the memories will never erase. The Bliss backdrop comprises a green hill and blue sky with white clouds in Sonoma County, California.
As of this writing, the Windows Ugly Sweaters are out of stock. The whole inventory got sold out within minutes. Microsoft’s Windows product team took to X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that the #WindowsUglySweater has been sold out. The post also mentions a phone number, which will give call back when the sweater is again launched in 2024.
The Windows product team hosted a Sweaterathon event on Instagram and TikTok on November 28 to mark the launch of the #WindowsUglySweater. The Sweaterathon events comprised of engaging edu-tainment, Windows-specific trivia, a trip down memory lane including the opportunity to purchase the Windows Ugly Sweater during the event itself. The intention was to help users to buy the shirt immediately before the Windows Ugly Sweater went out of stock.
You can also navigate to Xbox gear Shop and download Windows XP Bliss-themed wallpapers for your smartphone, Microsoft Teams background, or desktop PC. Microsoft disclosed that this is a great opportunity to relive the early 2000s and support The Nature Conservancy.
As part of the launch of Windows Ugly Sweater, Microsoft is supporting The Nature Conservancy. It’s an organization dedicated to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. Microsoft urged people to buy the shirt and support nature but the product is already out of stock. If you missed to purchase the shirt, you can download Windows XP Bliss wallpapers and enjoy computing life. You can also play with Windows XP in case if you have access to the system and share photos and videos with the hashtag #WindowsUglySweater.
