AI Dubbing

YouTube Infuses AI Dubbing with Aloud

YouTube is gearing up to infuse AI dubbing for videos via Aloud. A popular news portal has revealed that the initial announcement was made during VidCon. The Aloud team has been incubated inside Area 120 of the search engine giant headquarters in Mountain View. Hence, this means that the company will soon push the new functionality. The reports indicate that AI dubbing module will be initially available in the US and UK followed by other regions.

Aloud works by first transcribing videos, which enables YouTubers to edit the transcription as per the requirement. The service automatically translates and dubs the video via AI. You will have an opportunity to verify the dubbed content before uploading it to YouTube. According to Insider reports, the AI dubbing functionality will provide support for Indonesian, Hindi, Portuguese, and Spanish. The company will add additional languages based on the feedback. YouTube is also working to generate translated audio tracks identical to that of the creator’s voice with improved expression and lip sync functionalities. These features will find limelight only in 2024 and hence you will have to wait longer.

Going forward, AI will leverage content across the world. The main advantage of AI is its ability to generate content quickly. With the rapid growth of ChatGPT, creators are finding it easy to publish both short and long-form content.
