Chuwi is currently busy interacting with tech enthusiasts from around the world as part of the CES 2018 (South Plaza 62600) in Las Vegas. The company revealed the roadmap for 2018 including updates from the latest 2-in-1 CoreBook campaign on Indiegogo. Moreover, the company also disclosed the developments related to Chuwi Hi 9 Android tablet manufactured exclusively for gaming.
According to Chuwi, the company has reached the $200K stretch goal for its 2-in-1 CoreBook tablet, which ships with Core M3 processor, 128GB eMMC 5.1 SSD storage. The product team revealed that the CoreBook campaign will come to an end within the next 5 days and price will shoot up to $50 starting $20.
The Chuwi CoreBook will be equipped with a 13.3-inch FHD touch display coupled with 2.5 D glass design. Moreover, the CoreBook is integrated with Intel Core M3 7Y30 processor, Intel HD Graphics 615 graphics, 8GB RAM 128GB SSD internal storage alongside fingerprint sensor. The product package will be bundled with a 12V/3A (36W) quick charger.
At the CES 2018, Chuwi announced the arrival of Chuwi Hi 9 powered by Mediatek 8173 processor, GX6250 graphics loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. The screen measures 8.4-inch with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels paired with a 16:9 IPS display.
The tablet helps you to read content clearly due to the addition of the IPS display. The tablet will have 4GB RAM, 64GB storage with the capability to extend up to 128GB. The Chuwi Hi9 will ship with a 5000mAh battery, which is capable of delivering 7 to 8 hours of backup. The device will have a 5MP rear camera with the 2MP front camera. The Hi9 tablet is currently available for $179. However, the price will increase to $199 within few days.
Chuwi also announced the imminent launch of another Android tablet named Hi9 Air. The company sources added that the Hi9 Air will have a thin profile with a larger 10.8-inch 3:2 IPS FHD display. Moreover, the tablet will be powered by MediaTek 8176 processor, 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB expandable internal storage. The highlight of the tablet is the addition of Android 8.0 Oreo. The rear side will have an 8MP sensor, while the front-facing camera offers a 5MP sensor.
In 2018, Chuwi will unveil a Mini PC codenamed GBox Pro with the newly launched Intel 8th generation Core i5 processor with HBM2 graphics. The package will have a remote control with plenty of expansion possibility.
You can also expect the launch of SurBook Pro featuring 12-inch IPS display, Intel Gemini Lake processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable internal storage. The rear side will have a 5MP camera, while the front camera offers a 2MP sensor.
