If rumors are to be believed, Samsung is gearing up to launch two new smartphones. The rumor assumes significance with two handsets tagged with model numbers SM-A450N and SM-A450XN have cleared WiFi Alliance. We infer that one handset will be the standard model and another would be a bigger variant of the same standard phone.
The Wi-Fi certification document reveals the fact that the upcoming devices will be loaded with Android 7.1 Nougat. You will be able to see that both product and model numbers are same for both handsets.
With Certification ID WFA72728, the rumored Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A450N comes with REV0.1 as product hardware version. Moreover, the firmware version is tagged as A450N.000 alongside Wi-Fi component value of 13.38.13.
When it comes to the SM-A450XN, the phone is tagged with the certification ID WFA72727 coupled with REV0.1 as hardware version. Furthermore, the firmware version is named as A450XN.000 along with 13.38.13 as Wi-Fi component.
As you can see, both the smartphones bear same values for each parameter except the model number. Hence, you can expect same specifications except for changes in the display. We expect SM-A450N to ship with a 5-inch display and SM-A450XN with a 5.5-inch display.
With the clearance of the handsets by the Wi-Fi Alliance, you can expect an imminent release of the device. That said, Samsung is expected to launch Samsung Galaxy Note 8 on August 23. By the end of 2017, you will have a plethora of Samsung branded smartphones.
