Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3066 to the Beta Channel. The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3066 has added support for the latest generation USB standard and USB 80Gbps. The USB 80Gbps will launch select devices based on the Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series mobile processors such as Razer Blade 18.
Microsoft revealed that USB 80Gbps is the first major update of the USB4 standard. Moreover, the new technology enhances performance to 80Gbps to 40Gbps and enables next-generation displays, storage, and connectivity. The USB 80Gbps is fully backward compatible with older generations of USB and Thunderbolt peripherals. It also works simultaneously with other USB Type-C functionalities.
The flight has resolved a tabtip.exe crash that could impact the ability to input text. The update has resolved an issue where the Task Manager window wouldn’t work properly if your mouse was on the search box. The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3066 has resolved a crash while trying to add natural voices for Narrator in Settings. Moreover, the update also fixed an issue related to crashing voice access when setting up new languages.
Going forward, the Beta Channel Windows Insiders will now be on the same build 22635.xxx via an enablement package. You can activate the toggle to receive the latest updates via Settings | Windows Update. Microsoft will increase the rollouts of functionalities for all Windows Insiders who have activated the toggle. Microsoft is gearing up to document changes in Beta Channel builds in two buckets such as new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
